UK wide IT, telecoms and cyber security company Communicate have offered two full-time contracts to their newly qualified apprentices.
Josh Sullivan and Liam Fulcher have both successfully qualified from their IT apprenticeships at Communicate and have now accepted full-time contracts at the leading IT and telecoms firm.
Established in 2011, Communicate has seen seven apprentices qualify and build a career with the company across their offices in the Tees Valley, Leeds, Bedfordshire and Kent.
Passing with a distinction, Josh Sullivan based at Communicate’s Kent office began his apprenticeship with Communicate and training provider Profile Development and Training in September 2019, he said: “I’m pleased that I chose the apprenticeship route, I’ve had the opportunity to receive training from industry experts whilst completing my qualifications. I’m looking forward to a long career at Communicate.”
Mark Styles, operations director – South East at Communicate said: “It’s been fantastic to see Josh grow from apprentice to an IT Infrastructure Engineer.
“We have always been great believers in the apprenticeship route as it gives young people the opportunity to train on the job whilst completing their academic studies, which is invaluable especially in our industry.”
Profile Development and Training centre manager, Andrea Keely added: “Josh began his apprenticeship with Profile directly after leaving school following his GCSEs, employed by Communicate.
“Throughout his apprenticeship Josh has been fully supported by his manager Mark Styles and was given every opportunity to broaden his knowledge and skills. He was rewarded for his high level of work and commitment throughout with a distinction grade.”
Liam Fulcher based at Communicate’s Tees Valley office, joined in August 2020 and has since qualified with Level 3 Infrastructure Technician.
Speaking of his apprenticeship with Communicate and Baltic Apprenticeships, Liam said: “I couldn’t be happier about passing my apprenticeship and gaining the qualifications I have during the last year with Communicate. My friends and colleagues have made it an amazing experience. I’ve loved every second of it!”
Commenting on Liam completing his apprenticeship, Alice Wanless, employer engagement manager at Baltic Apprenticeships said: “We’ve worked with Communicate for a number of years and their commitment to apprenticeships and professional development is inspiring.
“Liam completed an IT apprenticeship with us and impressed the whole team with his fantastic attitude towards learning and development. After passing his apprenticeship with flying colours, he is now both developing his IT knowledge further through our Level 4 Network Engineer programme. We look forward to working with them for many years to come!”
Tony Snaith, CEO of Communicate said:
