Giving Back at Christmas: Our Annual Charity Game

At Communicate Technology, we believe being part of a community means finding ways to give something back. That’s why our Kent team started the annual Christmas charity game.

As the on-site IT partner at Discovery Park, one of Kent’s most established business and innovation hubs, our Kent team is dedicated to supporting the businesses who call Discovery Park home. That close working relationship has allowed us to become part of the community in a way we’re really proud of.

Every December, we host our Annual Christmas Charity Game. The idea is simple: a fun, themed game that anyone can take part in, with all donations and proceeds going to a different charitable cause each year.

Each year the team comes up with a new game, a new theme and a new charity to support. Clients, tenants and businesses from across Discovery Park are welcomed in to take part, with a first-place prize and a runner-up prize up for grabs.

Supporting Pilgrims Hospice

This year, we raised money for Pilgrims Hospice, a local charity that provides compassionate end-of-life care and support to patients and their families across Kent.

The game involved landing gingerbread men onto candy cane plates, which sounds simple, but it proved harder than it looks! More importantly, it brought people together and helped raise over £400 for a cause that does vital work in the local community.

Our Kent team built the game themselves and organised the event, welcoming tenants, clients and businesses from across Discovery Park to take part. While the game itself is light-hearted, the cause behind it matters. Pilgrims Hospice supports people and families during some of the most difficult times, and we’re proud to have contributed in a small way to the work they do.

A Tradition We’ll Continue

Our Christmas charity game has become a regular part of the calendar at Discovery Park. Each year there’s a new game and a new charity, but the same commitment to making a difference that started it all.

We’ll be doing this again next December. And the one after that too.

If you’re based at or visiting Discovery Park during December, come and find us. The game is open to anyone and every donation counts.
