National IT, telecoms and cyber-security specialists, Communicate, celebrate dual shortlisting in this year’s Cyber Security Awards.
The company has been nominated for the third time running in the Threat Detection Product of the Year category, and this year their Security Manager, Jed Wrigley, has been shortlisted for Cyber Educator of the Year award.
The awards aim to recognise the best individuals, teams and companies within the cyber security industry throughout the UK, where excellence and innovation are core themes throughout the selections.
Based in Leeds, Kent and Tees Valley, Communicate keep over 500 businesses and 50,000 users connected and secure across the UK.
Communicate are nominated for their next generation NAZAR X Managed SIEM solution, which detects threats from the moment the system is installed and fully manages, monitors, and responds to suspicious activity 24/7, all year round. It is complemented by their Security Operations Centre (SOC) team based in Leeds, who work alongside their clients every step of the way from installation, through to tuning, analysis, and eradication.
Communicate’s SOC is headed by Security Manager, Jed Wrigley, who is shortlisted for Cyber Educator of the Year. He progressed from an apprentice role over the last eight years and has gone on to invest in other emerging cyber security talent, having employed four apprentices, where two have progressed onto full time roles within Communicate.
The Cyber Educator of the Year award recognises educators who have demonstrated exceptional skill in educating and mentoring others in the principles and practices of cyber security. Jed said: “It is such an honour to be shortlisted for an award like this. Although, I couldn’t do this without such a great team around me, so thank you to the Communicate SOC team for their hard work and efforts this year, and their progression to continue delivering great services for our clients.”

The Cyber Security Awards will be held in Central London on 29 November where this year’s winners will be announced.
