We’re thrilled to introduce that we’re supporting the Veterans World Cup, where in 2025 nations will come together from across the globe to compete, with the shared mission of providing homes for homeless veterans.
With 12 nations already committed and more to be announced, this global event aims to raise £500,000 for veteran homeless charities through sold tickets and donations.
Homelessness is an increasing problem amongst veterans in the UK, and they’re overrepresented in the population of homeless people. Communicate is proud to be sponsoring the kit for the England team, in order to make steps to address this issue, and reflect our commitment to the armed forces community as part of our pledge to the Armed Forces Covenant.
We’re proud that our very own Vendor Manager, Matt Hubbard, is the goalkeeper for England, and with 2 wins from their first 2 games against Nepal and Romania, our squad has already made a splash in this year’s friendly matches! We wish each team success in the months to come and hope that the cup can get as much support as possible to raise donations for veterans needing a home.
To stay updated on our League of Heroes, you can follow the Facebook page, Armed Forces Veterans World Cup. There, you’ll find updates on participating teams, links to purchase tickets for friendly matches happening this year – including matchups like Wales vs. Nepal in June, and England vs. USA in July – with more exciting announcements on the horizon.
The next match for the England team is on Sunday 2nd June between Scotland and England at Dinnington Town Football Club. Further details and tickets are available here.
Bring on the World Cup in 2025!
